Want More Money? The Secret Formula They Didn’t Teach You in School

I am fascinated by money – what it is, how it operates, how to attract it, save it, invest it, spend it, give it to others and create more of it. In palmistry, women entrepreneurs’ hands reveal, in the hand’s simple, straightforward way, the STRUCTURE of money as well as what to do and what NOT to do to have a good relationship with money. Look at the palm of your hand. The middle finger is divided into three zones. The upper zone represents women business owners’ ‘system’ of money, the middle zone represents the ‘management’ of money and the bottom zone represents the ‘roots’ of money. The upper zone of the middle finger says that money has a system to it. This system may be abstract and invisible at first glance, but it has a system nonetheless.

The lower zone says that money has its roots in the Earth. If you think about it, EVERY TANGIBLE THING WE POSSESS COMES FROM THE EARTH. Your desk, your computer, your clothes, the food you eat, gold, diamonds, etc. – all this bounty comes from the Earth.

The middle zone is where the system of money and the material resources of money combine. Managed properly, women entrepreneurs put money in the bank. Thus, the middle zone of the middle finger is about managing money. The System of Money (palmistry upper zone): Money is a precise measure of value – it either adds up or it doesn’t. Money deals in numbers that can be put on spreadsheets and on profit and loss statements. Money is orderly and therefore, it LOVES order. If women business owners want to attract more money, they need to have structures in place that organize the money that they attract. Structures such as balanced bank accounts, an accountant, a bookkeeper and a SYSTEM for their business. The more women entrepreneurs can create reliable, repeatable systems in their businesses, the more money they will have. The Management of Money (palmistry middle zone): This is money in the bank – preferably in an account with your name on it! The precision of your money system directly impacts the flow of money in and out of your bank account. As a palmistry expert, I cannot stress this enough.

The Roots of Money (palmistry lower zone): Money is the systematic measuring of the value placed on goods and services. ALL goods and services come, originally, from the root of all roots – Mother Earth. ‘Money’ measures value – tangible and intangible. The ‘root’ of money is that which is valuable – things you can touch as well as things you can’t. Your inner value system can’t be held like a diamond in your hand – but it’s critical to your success in business. Your values MUST line up with your actions. Here are some palmistry formulas that reveal the STRUCTURE of money: NOTE: Formula Key: Upper Finger Zone = System; Middle Finger Zone = Management; Bottom Finger Zone = Resources Excellent System + Excellent Management + Excellent Resources (your inner values, knowledge, desire, passion, focus, additional money) = $$$$ Some System + Some Management + Some Resources = some $$ No System + No Resources + No Management = what money? Here’s another way to play with our formula: a good system plus solid values equals money in the bank. For many women entrepreneurs that I coach, the SYSTEM seems to be the missing piece. Most women business owners are keenly aware of their bank account status because it’s a physical reality. But the necessary systems to honor their inner values often get left in the dust. Why? Because they’re not in our face every day, demanding our attention.

It’s All About Transcendence! 3 Steps to Unleash Your Inner Magic

Abraham Maslow, the famed psychologist known for his hierarchy of needs, reportedly indicated that beyond “self-actualization” at the top of his needs pyramid, was another level – he called this level ‘transcendence.’Whereas self-actualization involves realizing your personal potential, self-fulfillment, and seeking personal growth and peak experiences, “transcendence” is abouthelping OTHERS self-actualize.This is where the magic really begins. One of the members of my

Phenomenal Entrepreneur Coaching Circle, Don Smith, built a very successful business before discovering his love for service work. Using his own money, he has helped establish over 30 orphanages in both Africa and the Philippines as well as creating reading programs for women’s groups in these areas. To hear Don speak of his mission is to be transformed. To feel the power of his heart is to transcend one’s own personal concerns and connect with the larger family that makes up our beautiful planet. As soon as his new web site is ready, I will let you know how you can participate in his incredible, transcendent vision if it speaks to you.Another coaching member discovered Don’s work and knew that helping him was her own form of transcendence. She is on fire, connected to her Life Purpose and making a big difference in the world. She is feeling the magic that comes from knowing and living her Life Purpose. Here are 3 steps to unleash your inner magic and TRANSCEND:

#1 Discover Your Life Purpose and EXPAND

Are you expanding or contracting - financially, physically, emotionally, psychologically, spiritually?#2 Make a Plan for Your Life Purpose and TRANSFORM

I had a client – let’s call her Amy – whose Life Purpose is “Transformational Healer in the Spotlight with a Message.”

I said, “Well, how often are you out there speaking to live groups?”

She said, “I’m not.”

We finished our session together and she said, “So, can you tell me about my business?”

I could feel her confusion. That’s how denial works. We sometimes don’t want to see the obvious, natural and EASY step because it can feel uncomfortable. My suggestion to her was to schedule speaking twice a month and send out her newsletter once a month by mail to begin building her ongoing dialogue with her clients. By making this plan and implementing it, she found traction, momentum and commitment to her dream. This began her transformation into the life she really wanted to live!#3 Live Your Life Purpose and TRANSCEND

As you continue to express your Life Purpose in all you do and all that you are, you may find that just fulfilling your own goals of a great relationship, glowing health, a nice home, etc. is NOT enough. You are maybe a little bored or frustrated. This is a sign that you want to help OTHERS fulfill their purposes. This the

KEY to transcendence and REAL magic in your life. When you set out BEFORE you have all the money, evidence, proof and support to help others, the help comes. When Don committed to working in Africa, he had no idea how to do it. Once he was there and committed to his project, the money, help and opportunities began rolling in to support his dream. But not BEFORE…AFTER he said YES to his purpose.

The formula goes like this:

“I’m confused. > Found my Life Purpose! (expand) > Living my dream life! (transform)> Helping others live their dream lives! > Transcendence!”

Spirituality and Business: 3 Powerful Tips for Unleashing Your Intuition

If you really want to know “the secret,” access your business creativity and live your Life Purpose, there’s one jewel in your treasure chest you must dig out, polish up and wear proudly – the gem is your intuition. Without it, you are likely to be confused and looking to others for your own answers.

Now, that being said, it’s perfectly good and necessary to seek out spirituality and business knowledge from others. However, there is a difference between being a workshop junkie and being a truth seeker. The workshop junkie looks for the next quick fix of temporary, adrenaline-induced inspiration (quick to wear off), while the truth seeker looks within and asks, “Hey you, what do you really want to study and learn about next?” She then finds her next step – whether it be a new relationship, an enlightening book, a tele-class or a workshop (wisdom lasts a lifetime). What makes the difference between these two kinds of women entrepreneurs? One trusts their intuition and the other doesn’t. So, you may be asking, how do I TRUST my intuition more?

Here are three powerful tips for unleashing your intuition that I’ve discovered in my almost ten years experience as a hand analyst/palmist, and spirituality and business coach.

Tip #1: Trust the FIRST impression that comes.
Your impression could be a vision (psychic/clairvoyant), a disembodied voice (clairaudient), a gut feeling (intuition/kinesthetic response), or a simple ‘knowing’ that without explanation, forethought or planning, ‘flashes’ into your mind.

With my visual psychic/clairvoyant ability, I see imagery either “inside” my mind or “outside” my mind as if on an invisible movie screen. For example, many years ago, I was at a friend’s party giving short palm readings to the guests. As one woman sat down in front of me, I saw twelve angels around her. The angels weren’t visible in the way that she was – I saw them energetically and could feel their energy in the physical space with us. Curious and a wee bit nervous, I said, “Are you aware that you have twelve angels walking around with you?” She said, cool as a cucumber, “Oh, yes,” and then proceeded to tell me some of their names!

Tip #2: Ask your heart for spirituality and business intuition.
Close your eyes and put your right hand over your heart. Breathe in and out slowly, feeling the rhythm of your heart beat. Then quietly ask your heart, “Heart, what do you want right now?” Since your heart processes emotion, NOT thoughts, it will usually respond with a simple, one- or two-word “feeling” answer such as “love,” “forgiveness,” “patience,” “action,” etc. You will probably hear these answers in your head, in your own voice.

Usually my heart answers, “I want peace and joy.” However tonight, while writing this article, my heart gave me the longest answer ever. My heart said, “Baeth, stop pushing yourself. I want you to be kind and gentle to yourself. Take care of yourself and do those things that make you feel pretty and happy.” Pretty and happy? Never got that one before. Wow, I guess I have my homework!

Tip #3: Build your self-esteem.
In her book, Anatomy Of The Spirit, the great energy medicine expert, Caroline Myss wrote, “How we feel about ourselves, whether we respect ourselves, determines the quality of our life, our capacity to succeed in business, relationships, healing, and intuitive skills [emphasis mine]. Self-understanding and acceptance, the bond we form with ourselves, is in many ways the most crucial spiritual challenge we face. In truth, if we do not like ourselves, we will be incapable of making healthy decisions. Instead, we will direct our personal power for decision-making into the hands of someone else. Someone whom we want to impress or someone before whom we think we must weaken ourselves to gain physical security. People who have a low sense of self-esteem attract relationships and occupational situations that reflect and reinforce this weakness.” (This lack of self-esteem is the #1 reason why women entrepreneurs don’t use their intuition.)

After reading thousands of hands, I believe that the “Life Lesson” of humanity involves self-esteem issues. If you doubt yourself, how are you going to trust something as subtle, fast and laser sharp as your intuition? Having good self-esteem is vital to harnessing the power of your intuition. And here’s the catch: If you ask and don’t listen, your intuitive awareness may go into hibernation. If you ask and listen, but don’t ACT, you create stagnation, procrastination and all sorts of spirituality and business ills.

What Does It REALLY Take To Have A Successful Business?

“What does it really take to have a successful business?” I’ve thought about this question so many times and my answer sometimes shifts, based upon where I am on my own journey. However, after nine years in business, I’ve discovered several factors that remain the same.

YOU Are Your Business

“Who are you?” sang Roger Daltrey of the rock band, “The Who.”

I was speaking with a new member of my Phenomenal Women Coaching Circle the other day and I asked her why she applied to my group, over all the other options available to her. “Beth, you do know that YOU are your business, right? You bring your full self to everything you do. You are authentic, you are YOU. I want to model that energy for my own business. I want to be more of who I REALLY am and bring that authentic expression into my business.”

What she said lingered. I am not perfect. I get overwhelmed, drop the ball, and forget to do things just like everyone else. Not every client is a good fit and many people have no interest in or understanding about what I do. What a revelation. I don’t have to be perfect – just myself!

YOUR CLIENTS Are Your Business

In essence, the first step to a successful business is being your authentic self. This means loving and appreciating who you are and what you do. The second step is recognizing that being true to your soul attracts IDEAL clients. Your clients and customers are the center, the very core of your business. Your business is not your products, your services or your equipment. Your business is your clients and customers.

Are you in touch with your clients in a systematized way? Do you let them know what you are up to? Do you regularly survey them on what they want from you? Another Phenomenal Women Coaching Circle member recommended this book (which inspired this article), The Referral of a Lifetime by Tim Templeton. It is a powerful story about attracting and retaining ideal clients without being salesy or pushy. If you follow the simple system laid out in the book, you will not only attract more clients, but very likely, fall more in love with the magnificence of YOU. I would also add that this book is a great reminder for putting your clients and customers first – especially if you’ve been in a business a long time.

Find Your Voice and Express Your Truth = “The Original Professional”

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably noticed that lately I’ve been coming out with more and more of my spiritual discoveries and spiritual tools. Tomorrow, I’m offering another free channeling call because the last call was an off-the-charts hit. I’m listening to you -and what you are telling me you want more of. And here’s the interesting thing – what you are telling me is essentially this, “Beth, the more you are fully you, sharing your detailed, inner experience, the more of it I want!” That is the paradox. In being vulnerable and daring, I’m actually giving you, my client, permission to do the same.

In leading the way, my courage gives others permission to shine. These leaders, in turn, empower other leaders by speaking their truth.

If you find yourself asking yourself, “What is MY message?,” I will tell you what I’ve learned from reading thousands of hands – your message is what you hold most dear. Your message is what you do naturally and effortlessly throughout the day. Are you fanatical about fitness? There’s a message. In love with ancient religions and rituals?

Another message. Secretly channeling divine guidance and Source Energy like me? I bet there’s a message in there somewhere.

In a nutshell: BE passionately yourself, passionately connect with your customers and clients and passionately speak YOUR truth (about EVERYTHING – your rates, your services, your love for your clients and your love for what you do – no apologies, no excuses!!!). You will be amazed at the results.

Bonus Tip: STOP apologizing. No more prefacing things with, “Well, I only had a few minutes to put this together,” or “Gee, I don’t think this is very good, but here goes…” Stop, Stop, Stop! First of all, no one cares about your whiney excuses. Second of all, you diminish your power and cause the listener to diminish your message since you’ve effectively said, “Don’t bother listening to me. I don’t take myself seriously, so why should you?” Got it! Good.

If you’re going to make a new year’s resolution, how about this one? “From this day forward, I speak my truth, my point of view, my message without reservation, without apology. I am a voice of love, power and truth. I am voice of reason, accountability and empowerment. My laser-sharp words wake people up and make them listen harder. As I take a stand for me, I embolden others to take a stand for themselves!” And then pause. Listen for your soul singing low and sweet with happiness to the sound of you coming home to yourself.

The Hand Analyst’s Palm Pilot Push Up for the week:

Who are YOU - Really? What are the “goods” of your business? The essence of you that sets you apart from all the others? If you could tell your clients and customers what you really think – the things you think when you’re alone at night sorting out your life and the mysteries of the day – what would you share to empower, inspire and embolden them? You know things in way only you can know them. Did you know that? “Go tell it on the mountain.” That’s the image: See yourself on the top of Mt. Everest, calling out your message to the world. It’s time. It’s always time to speak the truth. The world chokes on the weeds of untruth and comes alive with vibrant foliage when your magical words ring out.

What Your Heart Lines Reveal About You AT WORK!

There are four basic types of heart lines.

Your heart lines reveal your emotional style. Your dominant-hand heart line is your emotional style “at work” and your non-dominant hand heart line is your emotional style “at home.” Today’s article will focus on your emotional style at work.

The Hermit Heart Line

Hand analyst, Pamelah Tablak, calls the Earth -element heart line the “Hermit.” This heart line begins beneath the pinky and travels across the hand to stop beneath the middle finger.

If you have a Hermit heart line, you like your personal freedom. You do well working on your own and/or being your own boss. You can’t stand someone breathing down your neck or micro-managing your projects. Many owners of Hermit heart lines are entrepreneurs. Your favorite phrase is, “Not now. I’m busy.” You ARE busy – busy working!

You also like to be the “master of your environment.” You like to have your own working space and are keenly aware if someone has swiped a few stamps or moved your stapler! You also like projects completed in an organized manner – you understand the concept of “beginning, middle and end.”

Since the Hermit heart line is a straight line, rather than a curved line, you tend to keep your feelings close to the breast rather than openly displaying them in the moment. You may find that talking and feeling at the same time is rather challenging. You prefer to get some “cave time” – hermit that you are – so you can process your feelings on your own schedule.

The Romantic Idealist Heart Line

Tablak calls the Air-element heart line the “Romantic Idealist.” This heart line begins beneath the pinky and travels across the hand to stop beneath the pointer finger.

If you have a Romantic Idealist heart line, you like romance, long conversations and creating understanding. You seek first to understand before seeking to be understood. You like forward-thinking approaches to problems since you want to create an “ideal” future scenario.

Common professions for Romantic Idealists include: law, copywriting, coaching, writing, architecture, music composing, brainstorming and other fields that focus on conceptualizing future, ideal scenarios.

Your challenges include over-analyzing (“analysis paralysis”), justifying, rationalizing and explaining as well as becoming too critical of yourself or others if things aren’t “ideal.”

Since the Romantic Idealist heart line is a straight line like the Hermit heart line, rather than a curved line, you tend to talk and talk (… and talk!) about your feelings, feelings, feelings… rather than openly display them. How improper and messy! You want your emotional presentation to be ideal, so you could potentially spend a lot of time fantasizing about the ideal time and place to reveal your true feelings – positive or negative. The question is: Can you reveal what you are REALLY feeling right now, in the moment?

The Passionate Heart Line

Tablak calls the Fire-element heart line the “Passionate.” This heart line begins beneath the pinky and travels across the hand and upwards to stop at the base of the middle finger.

If you have a Passionate heart line, you tend to know what you want – and you want it NOW! The gift of this heart line is passion, vivaciousness, and charisma. You are here to teach other people to discover what they want by being clear about what you want. You are a lightning rod for CLEAR desire!

In the workplace, Passionates need a lot of variety, as they HATE to be bored. (Notice the word “hate” – very dramatic and very Passionate!) If you have a Passionate heart line, you need to be interacting with lots of different kinds of people and do well when you have an audience. Professions can include public speaking, sales, acting, information marketing, singing, dancing, public relations – basically anything that puts you front and center as “the star.”

Your challenges include denying your true needs, which can lead to inappropriate acting out and passive-aggressive tendencies or just total chaotic drama-queen drama-trauma. These types of episodes can occur when you think your not getting enough attention and can lead to situations where you get “negative” attention – such as for your myriad problems, phobias, addictions, and so forth. Remember, drama is for the stage! LOL!

Since the Passionate heart line is a CURVED line, unlike the Hermit or Romantic Idealist heart line, the “curve” lends emotionality to your emotional expression. The more “curve” a line has, the more the heart and its feelings are involved. Firey, Passionate heart line owners have the least amount of delay between feeling a feeling and expressing it openly. Anger might show up as a red face and dishes flying where as happiness could result in a giant smile and teary eyes.

The Big Heart Heart Line

Tablak calls the Water-element heart line the “Big Heart.” This heart line begins beneath the pinky and travels across the hand and upwards to stop at the base of the pointer finger.

If you have a Big Heart heart line, you have a non-negotiable need for emotional connection. Non-negotiable means you need to have it – you can’t bargain for it. You NEED to have emotional connection to “feel okay” and alright with the world.

In the workplace, Big Hearts do well working intimately with others, in such professions as networking, coaching, nursing, healing, hospice, counseling, and so forth. They dislike the feeling of disconnection and hence, may sometimes stay too long in a dead relationship simply to avoid the disconnection (which has already happened anyway).

If you are a Big Heart and you’ve noticed that you’re feeling a little clingy and needy, the question to ask yourself is: What do I need right now? Having healthy “self-ish ness” doesn’t come easily to Big Hearts, but without it, you could become a martyr – and that’s not pretty, no matter how you slice it!

The Big Heart heart line is CURVED like the Passionate heart line, (the “curve” lends emotionality to your emotional expression) and you tend to easily show your hurts, joys, and pains.

Torn Between Two Businesses, Feeling Like a Fool? Discover HOW To Choose

Remember the song that goes, “torn between two lovers, feeling like a fool?” I know I can feel that way about all sorts of things – not just lovers. Grin. Perhaps you’re struggling to decide which business idea to focus on. You know you need to choose, but you don’t know how. Your hands give us clues as to what may be challenging you.

The middle zone of your thumb is known as your zone of logic or the “third eye” zone. This part of your hand represents your ability to discern, plan, and decide. This zone, between the tip and base of your thumb, can sometimes contain a series of horizontal lines. These horizontal lines operate as energy blocks.

If you find these horizontal lines on the middle zone of your thumb, it means you are inundated with choices. If you are a business owner or wanting to start a business, you probably either own one or more businesses or you’re having trouble deciding which one to focus on.

Let’s use logic to explore your dilemma.

#1 You have LOTS of choices, lots of options. This is good. This represents abundance.

#2 Chances are you created all these choices because you have many talents. This is also abundance.

#3 You want to satisfy every choice and end up with lots of unfinished projects.

#4 You struggle with overwhelm, lack of focus, frustration, and indecision.

#5 Planning and implementing a CLEAR plan… huh, what’s a plan???

If you have horizontals on the middle zone of your thumb, you are abundant but confused. What is required is MAKING A CHOICE. In this particular situation, HOW you choose is more important than WHAT you choose. You simply need to choose and stick with that choice.

Here’s is my pet formula for HOW to choose well.

Get a piece of paper and lay it down landscape-style. Draw a grid on the paper with 5 rows and approximately 15 columns . Make a list of all the options, ideas, and goals you are currently contemplating and put them at the top of each column. (You may need more than one piece of paper, LOL!)

Then list your top 5 values down the left-hand column, one for each row. (Mine include Love, Health, Presence, Creativity and Freedom.) Going across each row, rate the project listed at the top of the column from 1 to 5 – 1 the lowest, 5 the highest – in terms of how that project expresses the value in the corresponding row. For example, let’s say I want to publish a new e-book. I would go down the column, rating that project from 1 to 5 in terms of love, health, presence, creativity and freedom.

Now, add up the totals for each column at the bottom of the page. Which projects ranked highest and which ranked lowest for honoring your values? Now, pick the project that rated highest and FINISH it. Do whatever it takes to stay focused on your target. A coach, mastermind group, or goal-buddy can be invaluable. Just remember, you MUST choose or continue to run like a hamster on the wheel of choices.

Our New President: Revealed By His Hands

President Barack Obama is left-handed. Only 10% of the population is left-handed. It is my observation of left-handed folks in general that they tend to be less prone to listening to others and more prone to follow their own convictions, whether those convictions buck the trend or conform with it. (Right handers can certainly be mavericks, too! It’s just that given the smaller population of lefties, there appears to be a larger population among them that has that desire to stand out from the crowd and simply do things differently.) They think creatively about situations and do have maverick streaks. Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman are all lefties, too, for whatever that’s worth.

Obama’s little finger curves in a bit towards the palm which indicates a fear of being too vulnerable and seeking protection. He works toward tremendous self-control to not show his vulnerability. The finger is also a bit curved, like a crescent moon, indicating trust issues, possibly relating to early abandonment by his father.

His heart line, which starts beneath the little finger and curves up between the middle and pointer finger. This is the Big Heart heart line, indicating that Obama is a nurturing, generous and caring person. He has a non-negotiable need for connection. His heart goes out to the wounded birds of the world – the less fortunate.

His head line, which begins on the palm between the pointer finger and the thumb, is separated from his life line, which happens in about 20% of hands. It indicates “independence of thought.” Obama absolutely thinks for himself and comes to his own conclusions. Because of this, he is unlike to be bought or sold very easily.

His head line is also a gift marker, know as the “Hal 9000″ – named after Hal 9000 in the movie, 2001: A Space Odyssey. This type of head line goes almost all the way across the hand, but stops about a ¼ inch from the edge of the palm. This gift indicates that Obama’s mind works like a super computer, able to parallel process huge amounts of data quickly. He is the grand synthesizer. He needs a job that is big, complicated and important. Being President of the United States would certainly satisfy this headline.

Most folks who have this thinking ability have a mind that is chronically underemployed. If YOU have a gifted problem-solver head line, you need a large, world-scale issue to solve or your mind will create large problems, particularly in your personal life, to keep itself occupied.

You can choose: solve a world-scale problem or create tangled webs all over your life to try to untangle. (If you want to find out more about the Hal 9000 head line, why not join our Master Mind this month which focuses on this gift? You can find out more here.)

The vertical line extending upward toward his little finger is a “line of insight” indicating that Obama is introspective and interested in the deeper meaning of life. He asks questions such as “Why are we here?” and “What is our purpose?”

Our finger zones indicate our business niche. Obama’s two largest zones on his right hand are the middle zone of his pointer finger (goals) and the bottom zone of his middle finger (nature, the environment, values and moral code). Obama’s personal goals are goals that improve quality of life, particularly as it relates to open space, undeveloped land and natural resources. He is likely to be a big advocate for environmental protections and conservation. (I also get the sense that Obama said as little as possible during the campaign about his BIG plans for the U.S. in terms of being an energy leader. Time will, of course, tell.)

The tip of his thumb is very large, indicating enormous drive and will power. The way his fingers sit on the ridge of his palm indicate he is a teacher and leader called to the spotlight. The mounts of Venus (at the base of the thumb on the palm) and the Moon (across from the Mount of Venus) are large, indicating that Obama is a phenomenal storyteller with a romantic bent and love of culture. He is a sensitive, thoughtful person who is more likely to become sad than angry when he sees injustice in the world.

Baeth’s Coach’s Challenge: What is YOUR large, world-scale issue to solve? If you didn’t see it as a ‘problem,’ who would you have to BE-come to make inroads to change?
