The Real Dope About Manifestation

Sunset, Fraser Island, Australia

By Baeth Davis, Your Prosperity Purpose Mentor

There is so much nonsense floating around about manifestation that at some point last week, I realized I couldn’t read it, hear it or talk about it anymore without simply writing about it. Today, I’ll share with you some insights to manifestation as they have actually benefited me in my life as well as the “hand” data about this incredible and necessary part of the human experience.

Manifestation essentially means to bring plainly visible evidence into the material world through the use of your hands. “Manifestation” derives from the Latin word “manufestus” and “manu” is the Latin word for – you guessed it – HAND.

To set this manifestation mumbo-jumbo straight, let’s use money as the plainly visible evidence you are wishing to bring into physical form.

First of all, do you personally make money with your own hands? Not likely unless you run a printing press for the Federal Reserve – and even then, you only hit switches and levers – your hands never touch the money being produced.

So what then, is money? Money is a medium of exchange for tangible goods as well as services. Money measures the value being exchanged. You can also store money for future use through saving and investing. That’s about it when it comes to the purposes of money.

Here are some interesting statements about manifesting:

  • think positive and what you want will come true
  • money comes to you from God through other people (huh?)
  • hold more abundant thoughts
  • change your money consciousness
  • visualize your success
  • pray for help
  • and on and on…

Money is the EFFECT, not the CAUSE. Your EFFORT is the CAUSE. You need to deliver real value to others (through products and services) that has a lasting impact in the world to manifest money. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are selling you a fantasy, not reality. Sure, you may need to work on your beliefs to get into action; many people resist doing what they most need to do as a result of negative mind chatter. But in the end, you either going to do it or you’re not.

Successful people tend to create more success and unsuccessful people tend to ‘wait’ for the ‘right’ time or are stopped because they got a ‘sign.’ You decided not to come to the workshop because the airlines changed your flight or you had to get another babysitter? Huh? You either want it or you don’t. Maybe you want it but are unwilling to do whatever it takes to have it. Safety is more appealing than the goal. And thus, the majority of people never make the changes needed to have what they truly want.

You may have challenges, sometimes many, on the way to your goal. So what. The thing to ask is this - is your goal worthy of YOU? Do you desire this goal? Does this goal move you and your life forward? If yes, then certainly do whatever you need to do to keep moving toward the goal, including cleaning up any negative thinking.

If you do decide to deliver real value to others, having a positive attitude and holding abundant thoughts will likely help your reputation among your clients and prospective clients. Yes, honey attracts better than vinegar… but even if you’re ‘attracting,’ do you have some to offer them when they arrive???

I invite you to ask yourself: What is the PRODUCT or EXPERIENCE I intend to deliver in the next 90 days that will create a transformational effect in the lives of others? Once you answer the question, you then need to USE YOUR HANDS to make it happen.

I tell you some other secrets to manifestation. Here’s the ACTUAL tried and true formula that is thousands of years old:

  1. Determine your goal
  2. Create a plan, in writing, to achieve this goal
  3. Implement the plan
  4. Track and measure your results until you ACHIEVE THE GOAL
  5. Repeat

There is NO OTHER formula. That’s the formula. You can be in a good mood or bad, have a fabulous attitude or lousy attitude, meditate, chant, spin in circles, pray to the heavens, visualize gold coins falling from the sky or not. The formula will work if you implement the steps and don’t stop until you succeed. I confess; I am good at steps 1 and 3 but struggle more with 2 and 4. That’s why I surround myself with people who are excellent researchers, planners, trackers and measurers. They LOVE doing what I’m weak at so achieving my goals becomes easier.

Here are some other oldies but goodies that help make manifesting easier and more fun:

  • I know I will succeed. Why? I will never, ever, EVER give up. Maybe I have too much pride, but it’s my life and no one is going to live it for me.
  • Once you are focused on the goal and in action, relax, surrender and receive. You can be surrendered and still in action.
  • Manage your emotions. Too much emotional drama slows down manifesting. (As a highly emotional person, I still create a lot of space to feel what I need to – I just do my darndest to manage it. Don’t always succeed but I never give up the quest for emotional mastery!)
  • Notice synchronicities. The other day, Queen was pouring out of my computer speakers. Freddy was singing, “You’re my best friend… ooo, you’re making me  live…!” I posted the quote on FB and received some delightful thumbs up. Not long after I landed in Australia, my traveling companion and I stopped at a highway car park for a famous Beefy’s meat pie (I love meat pies!). I wandered over to use the restroom and guess what lyric hit me as I passed under the portico? “You’re my best friend… ooo, you’re making me live!” Those types of interesting synchronicities, for me, are a ‘sign’ I’m in the flow of my life.
  • Whatever you feel you lack or struggle with, make a goal to overcome it. For example, if you’ve got a great product or service but don’t know how to get it out there, your goals probably ought to include mastering marketing and selling.

I’m as metaphysically inclined as the next person. I love tarot card readings, astrology, numerology and of course, hand analysis. But I don’t use those tools to predict the future; I use them to discover other angles I may have overlooked in a situation, hidden elements and opportunities, blind spots. I know, ultimately, if anything is to be, it is up to me.

Every entrepreneur I know actually loves to work – they are driven and motivated by the idea of creative expression made manifest. I don’t know any ‘retired’ millionaires. Sure some sell their businesses, but they never stop moving toward new goals, even if that goal is to learn how to surf or make origami.

In your hands, the base of your thumb represents Venus, the Goddess of Love and Beauty. This part of your hand also represents your heart chakra or heart center. It is in your heart that the desire for your goal is formed. As you declare this dream through your throat chakra (the base zone of your thumb), you make it real in your life. As you design your goal (the middle zone of your thumb – your ‘third eye’), you figure out how to make this goal come alive. And as you take action, implement, “do,” (the tip of your thumb – your will), your goal is on its way to being realized.

Here is my 4-step Dream-Declare-Design and Do Process:

  1. DREAM: Identify the dream in your heart
  2. DECLARE: Write down the dream and share it with at least one person you trust, even if that person is only you
  3. DESIGN: make a plan for your goal (Oprah says, “Goals are dreams with deadlines.” Look at what she’s created and continues to create!)
  4. DO: implement the plan and continually track your progress toward your goal

Ultimately, manifesting joyfully (rather than giving yourself a stress ulcer) requires combining a sense of spiritual faith and trust with a solid plan of action that keeps you moving forward. One without the other makes it rough going indeed. Here’s to easy, joyful manifesting in your future!

Mentor’s Challenge: Oh, I’ve probably given you this challenge before. Probably recently, too. Go ahead and write down 3 goals you intend to achieve in the next 90 days. Then write out how you’ll feel when you achieve these goals and declare them to someone you trust. Then make a plan and start taking action on it. As you achieve, results, measure and track your progress. Use the data you gather to refine your plan. It doesn’t need to be a complicated plan. Some plan is better than none. Let us know how it goes, okay? As Tony Robbins said, “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.”

Everything You Want Is On the Other Side of the Terror Barrier

by Baeth Davis, Your Prosperity Purpose Mentor

My divorce finalized in late August. Divorce is brutal. My divorce, while relatively amicable, broke my heart, ripped up my ego’s notions of security and ‘forever,’ and set me on a path to deep self-forgiveness and compassion.

People ask me what happened. I have many responses but no answers. I have processed many emotions and thoughts in the 18 months since we parted. I feel freedom, elation, relief, grief, remorse, shame, guilt, fear, and shock in tiny fleeting waves that hit me like a poorly placed acupuncture needle.

I can only imagine what my former husband is feeling. We speak from time to time but the ache of our broken dream can be felt in every word. We still love one another and always will. It wasn’t for lack of love or appreciation or support that we parted. The time had simply come that our own life purposes demanded more of us apart than together. Without sufficient connection, our bond began to disintegrate and shift into another form. My terror of living my life without someone to share it with crept back in.

Some people fear ending up as a bag lady and others fear being unloved. Some fear both. Some fear heights, spiders, confrontation, loss, success, failure, responsibility, parenthood… the list never ends. Anything that exists is likely a source of fear for someone on this planet.

I’m in the School of Love. In your hands, there are four possible schools: Peace, Wisdom, Love and Service. You can think of your Life School as the base camp you train at before actually climbing the Mt. Everest that is your life. You are put through trial and error exercises to build up your stamina and street-smarts.

In the School of Love, the Core Fear is the “loss of love.” I don’t have bag lady fears nor am I particularly flummoxed by spiders, rats or snakes. I can literally handle them all – and have! My fear is that I would go my whole life and never find anyone to love me as much as I am able to love. I sometimes feel that my capacity to love is so overpowering that I weep, wrapped in a blanket of Earth’s pain, seeing the suffering children, men, women, animals and plants, the abused, the neglected, the victims of war and rape… thinking it is all so pointless and avoidable when love is the only reason. And then I wonder, do I really know how to love at all? It’s a torturous inner see-saw.

Lest you think I’m a morose person, I am quite certain I was a joyful sexual priestess for many lifetimes. I was not married, I owned my own property and no one owned me. Like my life now. I dance nearly three times a week at ecstatic dance class, hike the gorgeous hills behind my home, walk the beach, sing loud in the car and share gut shaking laughter with my team and friends. My work is my mission. My life surprises me in its color and dimensions. I feel extraordinarily blessed…

… and yet… the TERROR looms. I know that everything I want is on the other side of the terror barrier. Perhaps my story that no one can match my love is just a cleverly disguised bit of pride designed to keep me from getting too close, too deep, too hurt. I get it. I’m paying attention to these inner games!

My intention is to find a partner who can love me as deep as I know I can love – and for me to let the love in as deep as my heart can tolerate… I open to the Universe. I surrender and receive.

I was speaking with my master mind co-leader, Pamelah Landers, today. She shared her money fears and I shared my love fears. We laughed, realizing that our own desire to keep moving forward, while feeling the terror, was our goal. This determination to move through terror also was a major instigator in our desire to work together.

We created our year long training program, the “Sex, Love and Money Master Mind,” to create a place to help our clients face their own terror barriers and move through them to the other side.

Everything – EVERYTHING – you truly want, desire and crave is on the other side of that blasted, dirty rat terror barrier. No point in going for your purpose if you are not committed and persistent. Terror separates the courageous from the fearful every time. Heart warriors are not stopped by terror – terror is their ally. Terror means success is very very close – as close as the beating of your desirous, passionate heart. Terror means you want it. How much do YOU want it???

Mentor’s Challenge: Divide a piece of paper into two columns. In the left column, list your 10 WORST terrors. In the right column, list your 10 GREATEST desires. Now, pick 3 desires and go for it. The challenge? When the TERROR comes (and it ALWAYS comes), keep going. Terror doesn’t mean stop. Terror means your soul’s life blood depends upon you getting to the other side.

Panic vs. Urgency

(… and other vital life lessons)

By Baeth Davis, Your Prosperity Purpose Mentor

When I said “Sign me!” to Bruins Head Coach, Claude Julien, he did!

Michael McLean recently hosted his “Ultimate Millionaire Agent” master mind in Boston, Massachusetts where I spoke on the topic of “Passion and Purpose.” McLean’s master mind members are primarily in the insurance business with a few side interests in real estate and other business ventures. They are not my usual suspects but were open, receptive and curious about the idea that scientific hand analysis could bear fruit in their businesses. Four of the members actually stepped up and booked individual readings with me, which pleased me to no end considering they’d never even heard of this self-discovery tool before. (I liken it to a personality profile such as the Myers-Briggs assessment, only much more in-depth as it is customized by your unique hand blueprint.) I suspect once word spreads about the accuracy of this experience, most of the other members will submit their paws for inspection.

One of the surprise highlights of the meeting was a guest appearance of Claude Julien, head coach for the Boston Bruins. The Bruins won the Stanley Cup last season and are now taking a beating in game losses as they try to find their groove again. It’s usually a challenge to come back from such a triumph as the pressure on everyone is enormous to pull it off ‘again.’ Elizabeth Gilbert, author of the bestseller Eat, Pray, Love, speaks eloquently to the fact that if massive popular success happens at all, it’s a blessing. To expect it twice is probably unrealistic at best – but stay open to it. Eat, Pray, Love crushed it, with months on the best seller list and a popular movie starring Julia Roberts. Her follow up, Committed, is selling well, but not at the same ferocity of Eat, Pray, Love.

McLean interviewed Julien on how a coach handles 22 young players with multi-million dollar salaries so they stay focused and out of trouble. Here are some powerful take-aways from Julien’s interview.

Passion

You must have passion for what you do. Otherwise, don’t do it. You are wasting your time – and your life.

Panic vs. Urgency

Learn the difference. Panic leads to injuries, mistakes and bad decisions. Urgency is bringing focused intention to your day, your goals and your life. As one of my friends often texts me on my mobile phone, “Baeth, what would a little urgency do for your day? Bring it!”

Positive Modus Operandi (M.O.)

Is your M.O. positive or negative? Keeping your thoughts, speech and actions pure and clean is something Julien strives for with his team. Do they swear? Sure. Do fights break out on the ice? Nearly every game. Positive isn’t about being perfect. It’s about dealing with what is happening in the moment and then getting back on the ice.

Too much negativity? You end up in the penalty box. (If you have a ‘gift marker’ in your hands, it grants you a special ability and also a penalty. If you don’t use the gift, you end up in the penalty box. Choice is yours. E.g. You have “Lines of Genius” = the gifted author and speaker with a special message for a large audience. But instead of writing your book and giving your speeches, you chase your tail as you wade through piles of papers and to-do lists, going nowhere fast. You may even be experiencing issues in your throat area – laryngitis, thyroid issues, sore throat, etc. Remedy? “Just do it” – write the book, give the talk, spread the message.)

Opportunity for Redemption

After every failure, setback and disappointment, you have an opportunity to try again. In fact, sometimes being the defeated, overlooked player gives you an advantage. While others are cruising ahead with their goals, you can be quietly working on improving your abilities without any one paying you any mind. When you show up to the next game, speech, workshop, test, you are in top form and everyone wondered where you came from and how you did it. Being underestimated has wonderful advantages – don’t squander the power of your solitude, quiet, practice, rest and contemplation as you move toward your big goals.

Listen

Listen… to your spouse, partner, kids, team mates, associates, vendors, employees, relatives, friends. How about making 2012 the year you become a good listener? (Your business will improve immeasurably – you don’t have to ‘sell,’ just listen for what your client wants and see if you can actually provide it.) I have worked on this quality for years, coming from a family of competitive, extroverted over-talking upstagers. Recently, two clients and a close friend said, “You are a good listener.” I said, “Really? Thank you. Why?” They said, “You just listen. You take it in and later, you remember what I’ve said.” Hmmm… progress can happen.

Listening isn’t about thinking about what you are going to say next. Listening is just relaxing into someone else’s words and holding space for their story. You hear it, you feel it, maybe you acknowledge it with an ‘uh-huh’ or ‘hmmm.’ You don’t try to change their feelings, reactions or point of view. You just listen and learn.

Save It for a Better Time

Julien recounted a time he inspired the team before a big game and nearly all the players had tears in their eyes. He thought, “Hmmm… my timing was off on that one. Now they have to go out there and face their opponent and they are not in the best mental state for the game.” At other times, he found his players responded positively to a swift psychological kick in the butt or a physical break from the game to recharge. He said, “Save your pep talks and ‘talking to’s’ for the right moment, or your players will start to tune you out.”

Solutions Become Suggestions

Julien said that the Bruins top management ‘solutions’ arrive for him as ‘suggestions.’ No one’s ego is bruised nor does anyone feel judged or controlled.

When you think you have the ‘solution’ or ‘answer’ for someone’s love life, business strategy or game playing style, how about making it a suggestion instead? Suggestions are gold because we can take them on for a while, decide if they suit us or not and be at choice, rather than feeling we are being told that our way is wrong and that someone else has the ‘solution.’

I understand everyone wants to put their two cents in – and they usually do. What cracks me up – and I sometimes find baffling – are the long emails we receive telling us exactly how we did or didn’t do something and exactly how we can fix it, when the individual writing has never done the thing they are telling us to fix. My point? When someone offers you an opinion, consider the source. Do they have any credibility in offering their ‘solution’ or are you better simply seeing it as a suggestion? (To wit, I don’t get automotive advice from my general physician, unless he is a car specialist/hobbyist as well.)

I now choose to regard anything anyone tells me as a ‘suggestion’ rather than a ‘solution’ for a number of reasons:

  • Suggestions give me the freedom to play with an idea and decide whether or not to go further with it
  • Suggestions respect my own reality and intelligence rather than implying my way is wrong and someone else’s is right
  • Suggestions open up possibilities which can lead to cooperative group brain storming; solutions imply an ‘end-game’ answer that can close off further exploration

Mentor’s Challenge: Pick one of the strategies Julien shared above and try it on for one week. Let us know if you noticed any changes. Shifting one behavior can shift a lot of other things. And the lesson in that? “The power of one” – one offer, one deadline, one suggestion, one action. Keep it simple and reap the rewards.

Steve Jobs Puts His Hands Up

By Baeth Davis, Your Prosperity  Purpose Mentor

You take your hands with you everywhere you go. Who you ARE is inseparable from what is in your hands.

In the above picture, Steve Jobs, who passed on October 5, 2011, has his hands up, showing them openly to his audience. This gesture indicates personal vulnerability, trustworthiness, courage and self-confidence. It is considered the gesture of a great spiritual leader.

His hand shape is rectangular, the giveaway of the “air” type who is a thinker, a strategist, a lover of order and systems, as well as a romantic idealist, a dreamer, a visionary.

Jobs’s thumbs are “high-set,” meaning they do not emerge off the palm close to the wrist but rather close up toward the index finger. This indicates that results did not come easily for Jobs. Rather, hard work paid off and he experienced many setbacks before his massive success. This should be heartening news for you if you have short, weakened or high-set thumbs – hard work DOES pay off, provided you are doing work you love with focus and determination. (I have high set thumbs. If you think my success was ‘easy,’ ask anyone on my team or my family how many hours I put in to make things happen! I also tend to make things more complicated than they need to be – another high-set thumb tendency.)

The tip of Jobs’s right middle finger is leaning away from his thumb, indicating financial concerns for his future. My intuitive guess is that he may have worried about his employees and family as he was the ‘romantic idealist’ and wanted to make sure everyone around him was taken care of before he thought of his own needs and desires. (This worry may have been acute as he knew his days were numbered by cancer.) He also sought first to understand before being understood.

The tips of Jobs’s fingers are bulbous and full, indicating he was always reaching for the next big idea, for ever greater inspiration. He also has a curving head line on his right hand, indicating he was a creative, subjective thinker – a right-brain designer versus left-brain mechanical engineer. The moon on his right hand – the fleshy area beneath the little finger down toward the wrist – is also full like his finger tips. This part of the hand represents mystery, magic, illusion, invention, innovation, and intuition. The i-Pod, the i-Phone, the i-Pad and more… pretty magical, right?!

If you combine the full finger tips with the full moon, Steve Jobs was intuitively inspired. His life records that he acted upon his intuitive inspirations, with mixed outcomes. Ultimately, everything Jobs did led him to the day he died, and on that day, he left a legacy surpassing that of most humans in recorded history. I’d say that’s an impressive payoff for following the beat of one’s inner spirit.

Mentor’s Challenge: Set Your 90-Day Goals! Write down 3 important goals you know INTUIVITELY you must complete by January 11, 2012 and get busy! If Steve and I can do it with our high-set thumbs, what’s your excuse? Ha ha. Okay, now go get busy!

“Leadership is an Inside Job.”

by Baeth Davis, Your Prosperity Purpose Mentor

Today’s article explores four qualities of leadership that we will be emphasizing at our live event, Gifted, this year: intimacy, surrender, trust, and space. These are also the same qualities required of anyone who has a Life Purpose as a healer, spiritual teacher, coach, mentor, or endeavoring in any service profession.

Where This Shows Up In Your Hands
Your little finger and the area beneath it on your palm represent your connection to both the abstract spiritual world and your own inner guidance and instinct. One of the key elements necessary for you to succeed in expressing your Life Purpose fully is to own your intuitive power.

Power traditionally has been associated with aggressive confrontation, dictatorship, totalitarianism, and often violence. Today’s successful leader uses the qualities represented by the little finger side of the hand to create balance and transparency in their leadership style.

Let’s explore four of these qualities now.

Intimacy
The dictionary definition of intimacy involves revealing your inner most self to another. I call this being explicit about your inner process as opposed to implicit, which for many of us means hoping that someone can read our mind without having to directly express what we need, want, feel, or desire. The challenge with this indirect approach to communication is that you are rarely seen or heard. You may also be misunderstood.

To be a successful leader it is necessary to be personally revealing where appropriate. Examples of this include: sharing personal anecdotes about your children, pets, or hobbies in your marketing materials, sharing how you triumphed over a challenge your client may be currently facing, sharing with others how your unique systems and processes create successful results, and sharing your vulnerabilities with your beloved. Ultimately, intimacy requires being honest with yourself.

This intimate relationship with yourself also requires the quality of surrender.

Surrender
We don’t typically think of leadership and surrender going together. However, many times today’s leader has no option but to surrender to the changes happening around her. The ability to be powerfully intimate with yourself allows you to know when to let go and when to stand firm.

Many women in western society have become highly competent as givers and nurturers, however, feminine energy is designed to surrender and receive. As you grow as a leader, it is important to be able to move freely between masculine hard control and feminine openness and receptivity. This brings us to the next instrumental quality of the modern leader – trust.

Trust
Trust is probably the most important quality of all. Why? Without it, it makes intimacy and surrender next to impossible.

The ability to trust your inner guidance and surrender to it is actually a result of having high self-esteem. The paradox is that the more you trust yourself, the more your self-esteem grows. You may have to fall on your face many times before you discover which inner voice to trust. Is it your voice? Or is it the voice of your parents, mentors, siblings, church, city, state, or friends?

The only way to find out what your truth is is to make a decision and act upon it. The law of cause and effect will quickly reveal to you where you are aligned with your truth and where you are off the mark.

The key to developing the three qualities of intimacy, surrender, and trust is patience. Patience needs SPACE to grow and flourish.

Space
Space implies lack of matter. The universe is essentially made up of things and no-things. With technology rapidly evolving, none of us can emotionally or intellectually keep up with the “things” coming at us on a daily basis. You need sacred space, both inner and outer, in order to maintain your intimate connection to yourself and be able to surrender to your inner guidance.

What does this space look like? Perhaps it is a special place in your home where you go to think and meditate. Or maybe this space is the quiet time you spend writing in your journal or taking walking in the woods, or at the beach. Or more importantly this space may mean the time away from emails, phone calls, meetings, the demands of others, and your own internal chatter.

Do you allow space in your daily, weekly, and yearly schedule? Space typically does not happen by itself. To create space you must remove what is taking up that space. Which leads us full circle back to your inner guidance. For only you truly know what must stay and what must go. Are you willing to surrender to your own truth despite the demands and pressures of the world around you? Are you willing to trust the decisions you make and surrender to the process that unfolds?

As you can see, leadership truly is an inside job. You can only empower others to the degree that you are fully empowered within your own inner space. My wish for you is that you make your inner voice the authority and leader within your life. When you do you will discover you will create your life in whatever fashion you like. For all of your resources are truly inside of you. These resources are more valuable than the gold in the ground. These resources are your essential nature. And when you lead from this place, you stand not only on the leading edge of the “new economy” but on the edge of a brave new world known as your Life Purpose.

Mentor’s Challenge: Create more SPACE in your life. Create a ‘thinking’ area in your home and create space in your daily, weekly and yearly schedule for time away from the demands of anyone but your own desire.

3 Steps To Increase Your Intuition

Featuring 3 Intuition Gift Markings

By Baeth Davis, Your Prosperity Purpose Mentor

The “Magician,” Card I in the Rider-Waite tarot deck

The Magician card represents you as a fully realized being in her authentic essence and expression. You are dressed up for the occasion that is your life – dressed like the goddess you are. Your right hand reaches up to the heavens for inspiration while your left hand points down to the earth so you stay grounded and can manifest your ideas into reality. On your table, you have your ‘magic’ elements: pentacles (earth), cups (water), wands (fire) and swords (air). Infinity (the number eight turned on its side) hovers just above your head and you are surrounded by lush blooming vegetation. You can create what you desire, provided you work in harmony with yourself, your environment and the elements.

One of your greatest “sword” powers is your intuition. When you trust your intuition, you are guided by inner wisdom. This is the part of you that knows what is right for you, despite what outer appearances reveal or what others say. It is part of the ‘magic’ available to you in your everyday life. Using your sword of intuition, you cut through the clutter to find your truth.

In the hands, there are seven primary intuition gift markings. We’ll briefly look at three of them. Here are some ground rules for gift markings*:

  1. A gift marking indicates you have a special talent.
  2. If you have a special talent, you need to use it.
  3. If you don’t use your gift, you experience the penalty of the gift.
  4. Gift markings appear on both right and left hands.
  5. Approximately 10% of the general population has gift markings.
  6. Approximately 5% of the general population has two or more gift markings.
  7. If you have multiple markings of one type of gift, that puts you in 1% of the population!
  8. In the “Your Purpose” community, about 97% of our clients have gift markings! (Could it be that the most gifted amongst us are also the most spiritually curious about our lives? Or are we suffering more than most from all the penalties of our unused gifts? Maybe a little bit of both?)
  9. Gift markings can appear – bringing with them the penalties. Gift markings can also disappear when you’ve integrated the gift so fully that you no longer need the penalty to remind you to use it! I’ve read the hands of people who I intuitively knew had many gifts and spelled those gifts out to them, though they didn’t have the marking.
  10. If the below descriptions resonate for you, chances are likely you experience the gift being described, whether you have the marking or not! Please don’t envy people with lots of gift markings – they also have lots of penalties. MOST people I read for – thousands and thousands to date – are typically in penalty with their gifts, and not aligned with their purpose.
  11. Your Purpose is the direction of your life – the gifts are HOW you get there. I invite you to think of them as your day-to-day action check list. Your gifts are ESSENTIAL for the full realization of your Life Purpose. I cannot overstate this. It is almost impossible to realize the full potential of your purpose if you avoid using your gifts. Of course, it becomes very possible to realize your purpose when you do use your gifts – the gifts are meant to help you, not hold you back!

Intuition Gift: Medical Stigmata = The Gifted Healer

Indicated by a series of four or more vertical lines in the palm just about an 1/8th of an inch or more beneath the little finger, this gift indicates you are a growth catalyst for the people in your life. You create a safe space – through conversation, coaching, touch therapy and other modalities – for your client to find their center and their truth.

How Intuition Factors In: As a healer, you likely download good ‘prescriptions’ for your clients – whether it’s a better question, a bit of wisdom, some good advice or a coach’s challenge. Perhaps you actually prescribe a remedy based upon your healing training.

What is essential here is that you allow the energy of your client to inform your inner knowing – and trust it. You can test out your intuition by saying to your client, “This is what I’m hearing/feeling/seeing. Does this resonate for you?” The more you do this, the more you’ll be able to gauge what is accurate intuitive guidance and what is just mind chatter.

Penalty: As a healer, if you are not doing your own inner healing work, your inner guidance begins to shut down. Where you’ll feel the communication challenges most painfully are in your romantic life because intimate partnership can only thrive in an atmosphere of open and honest communication. If you are denying or hiding from your own truth, how can you make space to hear your partner’s truth or trust they are interested in hearing yours?

At GIFTED, you’ll discover what ALL the vertical lines of the healer gift marking represent and how to monetize this gift so you are healing and helping yourself as you help your IDEAL clients thrive and flourish!

Intuition Gift: The Line of Clairvoyance = The Spiritual Teacher

This is one of those rare and lovely gifts that we see from time to time here at Your Purpose Headquarters. On the fleshy mound of the palm beneath the little finger, known as the ‘Mount of the Moon’ extending down to your wrist, there sometimes appears a crescent, ‘half-moon’ line that encircles this mound, known as a ‘Line of Clairvoyance.’

How Intuition Factors In: If you own the unusual Line of Clairvoyance, it works as a bridge between the intuitive center of your brain and the rest of your faculties. You are pulling not only from all your senses: touch, taste, scent, hearing, vision and gut knowing, but integrating all this information at a rapid pace with your life experiences, emotions, thoughts, book knowledge and environment. You can quickly assess hidden agendas, hidden players, secrets and strategies. You know who’s who and what’s what. The thing is – do you use this incredible intuitive 007 power for yourself?!

Penalty: If you have this kind of ability to nimbly navigate life but refuse to listen and act upon the guidance you receive, your life will begin to stagnate. Owners of the Line of Clairvoyance are here to learn about life by adapting rapidly to new information and expanding into the changes required of them. You are then required to share what you discover with others as a “spiritual teacher.” In this context, “spiritual” means developing your self-awareness. By teaching others from your own discoveries, you grow faster and your clients flourish, because you save them time, energy, and money.

You can probably see that if you resist the call to change in your own life, you’ll have little to offer others. In extreme cases, this can lead to a spiritual crisis where you question your existence, the meaning of your life and whether or not it’s worth it to continue.

Intuition Gift: The Star of Neptune = The Hospice Worker

A six-pointed star marking that appears in the center of the palm just at your wrist, this gift indicates you have a tremendous capacity to help people who are the midst of big emotional transitions: illness, impending death, divorce, marriage, birth, moving to a new place. Your empathy is profound, hence the title ‘hospice worker.’

A dear friend, let’s call her Amelia, works with clients who have terminal cancer. She also is the proud owner of a Star of Neptune. I said, “Does it get depressing?” She said, “Rarely, only if I don’t make enough space to take care of myself and my own emotional process. Otherwise, I find it beautiful and fascinating to be with people who are so very alive, alive as perhaps they have never been before, with death approaching.”

How Intuition Factors In: If you own the Star of Neptune, life will offer you situations requiring a non-judgmental, calming presence (you!), able to simply hold the space for all the swirling emotions without commentary or fanfare. This is an instance where silence is golden. These opportunities require you to sort out your feelings from those of the people around you, otherwise the penalty can kick in.

Penalty: The challenge with the Star of Neptune is to not drown in the emotions of others, becoming so paralyzed with sadness and grief that you can’t move forward. Being curious about the emotional transitions you are witnessing rather than feeling you must take responsibility for others’ feelings can go a long way toward freeing you to be in your gift, rather than consumed by it.

5 Tips To Revive Your Ecstasy

by Baeth Davis, Your Prosperity Purpose Mentor

The Crazy Joy Ecstasy Dance… (yes, we are sober!)… my BFF, Orna Walters, provides extra arms as we dance… notice strangers smiling in the background

In the palms of your hands, the fleshy mount at the base of your thumb is the Mount of Venus. Venus, the Goddess of Love and Beauty, was known as Aphroditein the Greek pantheon. Aphrodite means “foam born” as she emerged from the foam of the sea, the child of her father, Uranus’s, castrated genitals. She is the archetype of passionate expression, sexuality, femininity, beauty and ecstasy.

In reading thousands of hands, I have found that both men and women are often Venus deprived. Here are some common symptoms of ‘Venus deprivation:’

The inability to remember what ‘play’ means
The inability to remember the last time you played
Engaging in excessive task-oriented work with few breaks or sufficient rest
Last vacation occurred when the Bay City Rollers were working their way up the pop charts
Persistent crankiness, irritation, or numbness
When you laugh out loud, the sound startles you
Regularly dressing in dark colors
Issues of adornment, which could include: lack of an attractive haircut, flattering make up, manicured nails, or jewelry that you love; living in sweat pants and baggy tee shirts; persistent desire to wear ugly, ‘comfortable’ shoes; wearing a fanny pack (only suitable for hiking!) or any pair of ‘mom jeans’ with an elasticized waist
You’re upset I slammed on ‘comfortable’ shoes

I want to help you get your Venus back and that means allowing the concept of ecstasy into your life. Ecstasy is fleeting and precious. It happens in moments of abandon and thus, it requires us to be fully present to EACH moment, for each moment holds the seed of ecstasy within it.

Perhaps these tips will help you revive your ecstasy. They are the same tips I used to recover my Aphrodite when she’d disappeared from my life

Ecstasy Tip #1: Embrace FUN

Fun is not a four-letter word. Fun is Feeling Unleashed Now. If you’ve forgotten what fun is, here are some simple, low-cost ways to get your groove back:

Take your morning brew out on the porch or patio and write about anything for 20 minutes in your journal
Go for a walk and see how many animals you can spot
Lay on your bed and listen to a record album while reading the liner notes and lyrics
Bake cupcakes with purple frosting
Take your kids, nieces, nephews, or cousins to the park for a picnic – on a weekday!
Hold a concert at your house for a local musical act and invite all your neighbors
Organize the neighborhood block party
Decide on Friday afternoon that you’re going to have a potluck dinner Friday night and invite all the neighbors you actually like
Clean out your car and worst-offender closet while listening to your favorite music on your i-Pod, give all the good stuff to Goodwill (recycle or toss the rest!) and go buy yourself something you’ve been wanting for a while
Go dancing, take a pottery class, or call an old friend and talk for hours
Take up surfing, belly dancing, pole dancing, Tai Chi or anything else physical that just looks fun, silly, ridiculous, sexy or exciting
Lose weight by committing to moving your body every day but only in ways that are fun for you: sex, dancing, biking, walking, etc.

Ecstasy Tip #2: Replace A Life of Working With A Life That Works!

Seriously, are you going to look back on your life and wish you’d worked more? No, you will look back and wish you’d been more daring… if only you knew then that death was imminent and your fears so unimportant.

When working, focus on the tasks that move you forward the quickest. These tasks usually involve focused planning, marketing, sales, product creation and delivery. The rest of the work is usually unimportant or can be delegated.

I recommend scheduling your vacations every year BEFORE scheduling anything else. I typically schedule August and December as ‘off’ from client calls so I can focus on developing new products, services or programs as well as claim some alone time to contemplate and reflect.

Ecstasy Tip #3: Regularly Bond With Members of The Same Sex

I am convinced that men need men’s groups and women need ‘girl time’ no less than twice per month (more is better). Why? Spending joyful, heart-opening time with members of the same sex helps us feel less alone in our struggles and more connected to our inner experience. It also rebalances the male/female polarity so that when we are with members of the opposite sex, we can contribute to one another’s experience in a balanced and cooperative way, instead of either becoming too forceful or too passive. This is especially important in intimate work and love relationships.

Ecstasy Tip #4: Get In Touch With Your Body

Fully clothed tantric classes are extremely powerful for aligning your breath, spine and energy levels. You can take these classes alone or with a partner. There are deeper level classes that further explore your sexuality, but I recommend starting simple and learning to breathe properly. Most folks in the Western world are shallow breathers, one of the major contributors to poor health. These classes are most definitely fun and you will be amazed at how all your senses begin to awaken to the delights that surround you every day.

I highly recommend the work of Charu Morgan. Her next “Evening of Awakening” is Saturday, August 13th in Los Angeles, California. You can find out more about this unique experience HERE.

Ecstasy Tip #5: Remember YOU Are The Goddess (or God)!

How would your Goddess dress for work, dinner, bed time? What would your Goddess eat and drink? Where would your Goddess go on vacation, take time alone to meditate, or go for a walk? What kind of hobbies would your Goddess engage in? How much love, money, energy and affection would you invest in your Goddess?
